Therapy for Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, and Eating Disorders

I have years of experience treating a variety of mental health issues, including depression, bipolar, general anxiety, PTSD, and eating disorders. I can also help with things without formal diagnoses, such as relationship issues. coping skills, and exploring identity. Within the first few sessions, we’ll come up with goals to work on and a plan on how to achieve them.

FAQs

Do you offer teletherapy?

Yes, I have a hybrid practice—I do part time tele therapy and part time in person! I am in person in Laguna Hills, CA on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and can do virtual therapy Mondays through Fridays.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! I am in network with Aetna and Optum (the latter of which includes UnitedHealthcare, Oxford Health Plans, UMR, and Oscar) in California. If you have a PPO plan through a different provider or your insurance provides some reimbursement for out of network providers, I can also provide a superbill. Check with your insurance if that is a benefit that you have and if it applies to telehealth if you want to see me for teletherapy.

How does teletherapy work?

Teletherapy works very similarly to in person therapy, just held over video conference rather than you coming in to an in person office space. All you need to attend virtual therapy is a device with a camera and microphone, and a private space to be in. I’ll send you a link for a HIPAA compliant video session and you’ll be able to join.

Is your practice named after the Muse of History?

Yes! In another world I would have pursued a doctorate in history, with an emphasis in sociocultural work. I honor all lived experiences, both past and present, and think there is so much to gain from learning about the people and cultures that have come before us.

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation.

There’s no commitment, pressure, or obligation.
