Hello! I’m Kati.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker who is warm, non-judgemental, and truly passionate about helping people harness their strengths to overcome life’s curveballs and find joy and balance. Sometimes the world just feels like too much--too much work, too much stress, too much pain, too much numbness. I love working with people to figure out what’s not working, and supporting them in making the changes needed to attain the life they always wished they could have. We’ll figure out a path forward and how to get you moving towards the life you actually want to live, and often to even figure out what that is.

Education

I received my Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University, and did my clinical training at the UCSD Eating Disorders Center where I fell in love with evidence-based treatment and learned Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Family Based Treatment (FBT). I moved to Orange County in 2018 and have been foundationally trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and intensively trained in the DBT-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE) protocol for PTSD. I love working with adolescents and adults and making sure I’m providing individualized care in an evidence based frame.

Hobbies

In my spare time, I love to read, swim, play board and video games, and spend time with my husband and our two amazingly fluffy cats. I grew up as an expat and third culture kid, which gave me a love of travel and experiencing different places and cultures.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation.

There’s no commitment, pressure, or obligation.
